Job Title: System Development Consultant
Location: London
Contract Type: Part time 3 days per week - Temporary (3 months) - Likely extension
Daily Rate: £600 umbrella (inside IR35)
Our client, a leading organisation in the Housing sector, is seeking a skilled and experienced System Development Consultant to join their team. As a System Development Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development of the critical line of business application, managing the technical environment, and implementing service improvements through effective configuration of the application.
Reporting to the Housing Digital Systems Manager, you will have some supervisory responsibility for temporarily assigned or shared employees and 3rd party consultants. This will involve allocating and checking work for quality, quantity, and conformance to IT standards. In the absence of the Housing Digital Systems Manager, you will also be required to make decisions that impact service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
· Leading the design, configuration, build, and testing of the NEC Housing system, ensuring it aligns with service needs and legislative requirements.
· Managing technical design workshops with service users and NEC consultants to gather system requirements and specifications.
· Making operational decisions on the appropriate solution to manage processes that impact service delivery.
· Managing the technical relationship with line of business system suppliers.
· Ensuring appropriate security controls are in place for user access to the application and its data.
· Participating in projects and upgrades, ensuring effective system testing and user acceptance.
· Creating and maintaining training materials to support system users.
· Reporting and analysing data to support financial and performance reporting requirements.
· Providing expertise and support to colleagues, promoting consistency and best practises.
· Ensuring compliance with confidentiality and data protection regulations.
Requirements:
· Strong understanding of NEC Housing and its technical environment.
· Experience in leading system development and configuration projects.
· Excellent knowledge of business processes and requirements within the Housing sector.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
· Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
· Familiarity with data protection and confidentiality regulations.
