Job description
Our client, a leading company in the scientific and engineering industries, is expanding their Sales and Marketing team and seeking a talented Sales Administrator to provide administrative support. As a Sales Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of the international sales team.
Working in a small and dynamic team, flexibility and self-motivation are essential. While not essential, a background and interest in science or engineering would be beneficial as our client's customer base primarily consists of scientists and engineers.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
· Screen and log customer enquiries, including phone calls and emails.
· Assign sales enquiries and opportunities to the relevant sales team member or distributor.
· Log and process orders on the system.
· Confirm order details with customers upon receipt.
· Ensure orders are checked and released by the Sales Team or Production within the agreed timeframe.
· Coordinate with stores personnel to ensure timely shipment of customer orders.
· Monitor and maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the CRM system.
· Make travel arrangements for the Sales Team.
· Provide administrative support to the Sales Team as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
· Previous experience in a sales administration role for technical or scientific products.
· Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office.
· Strong knowledge of administration and recordkeeping practises.
· Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.
· Outstanding interpersonal skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
Requirements:
· Several years of experience in sales support administration for international markets.
· Minimum of college education.
· Minimum of 3+ years of work experience in the technical or scientific products industry preferred.
· Office-based position.
· Ability to work under deadlines and complete tasks in a timely fashion to meet customer requirements.
· Right to employment in the UK.
