My client was established over 30 years ago and has its headquarters in London. They have built an outstanding reputation across the world by establishing themselves as specialists supplying technical support to local and international MROs (Maintenance Repair Organisation), airlines, private and corporate aircraft owners. Working with some of the biggest and most popular airlines in the world, they can ensure all requirements are carried out exceeding expectations.

Their site now is looking for an experienced CAMO Safety Manager to join them on a permanent basis. CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization) Safety Manager is a crucial role within the aviation industry, specifically in the domain of aircraft maintenance and airworthiness. CAMO organizations are responsible for ensuring that aircraft are maintained in compliance with airworthiness requirements and safety standards set by aviation regulatory authorities. The Safety Manager reports directly to the Accountable Manager. The primary responsibility of the Safety Manager is to act as principal focal point for safety matters.

The main duties and responsibilities of the Safety Manager are:

Safety Policy Development:

·  Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

·  Facilitating hazard identification, risk assessment and management.

·  Performing/leading risk assessment when required for the CAMO department.

·  Monitoring the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risks, as listed in the safety action plan in collaboration with the CMM

·  Carry out periodic audits and report on safety performance to management.

·  Ensuring the maintenance of safety management documentation.

·  Ensuring that there is safety training available and that it meets acceptable standards.

·  Providing advice on safety matters; and ensuring that the initiation and follow-up of internal occurrence investigations.

Training and Education:

·  Providing training and guidance to staff on safety-related matters, promoting a safety-conscious culture within the organization.

Collaboration with Regulatory Authorities:

·  Liaising with aviation authorities and participating in regulatory audits and inspections.

Continuous Improvement:

·  Monitoring safety performance metrics, analysing data trends, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety standards.

·  The role of a CAMO Safety Manager requires a deep understanding of aviation regulations, safety management systems, risk assessment methodologies, and a strong commitment to ensuring the highest level of safety within the organization's operations.
