Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Development Engineer to join our client's team. This position calls for an individual with a strong background in structural and civil engineering, as well as experience in residential development. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the technical coordination and execution of residential projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, overseeing quality control, and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Conduct structural and civil engineering design analysis for residential projects.
Collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to ensure technical and engineering requirements are met.
Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of projects to meet deadlines and budgetary constraints.
Conduct site inspections and provide technical support to address any structural or engineering issues.
Ensure compliance with building regulations, codes, and standards.
Review and evaluate project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges during the development process.
Keep abreast of industry trends, changes in regulations, and emerging technologies.
Collaborate with the project team to drive innovation, sustainability, and excellence in residential development.
Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in structural and civil engineering, preferably within the residential construction industry.
Strong technical knowledge of building regulations, codes, and standards.
Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.
