Key tasks
Summary of Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:
• Maintains a high level of exposure for the hotel in major market areas through direct sales solicitation, telephone, fax, written communication.
• Maintain close business relationships with existing clients through key sales activities.
• Cultivate and develop new business relationships through key sales activities.
• Closely follows up on all business leads within a 24 hour response timeline to clients.
• Adapts to client's needs by tailor fitting hotel services to fit client's requests.
• Analyze the corporate segment performance based on segmentation objectives & strategies.
• Conduct competitor surveys and recommend strategies based on market intelligence.
• Reviews corporate account and recommends actions in terms of rates, production, contract renewals.
• Analyze other factors that affect production i.e internal, external factors and recommends actions required.
• Demonstrate strong negotiation skills to maximize hotel profit in all revenue producing areas.
• Establishes new corporate accounts year round.
• Demonstrates commitment to Hotel operating principles and philosophies.
• Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintains the highest standards of professionalism and attitude towards all internal & external guests.
• Develops and maintains close working relationship with all departments throughout the hotel.
• Inform concerned departments important VIP arrival well in advance.
• Respectfully is the brand ambassador of the hotel and communicates all promotions & products to the market.
• Maintains rate integrity of the hotel and maximizes revenue opportunities.
• Feedback to the management on various room rates and product packages that are in the market.
• Maintains a good understanding of the market dynamics in terms of rate, business trends, other product offers.
• Establish programs and direct efforts to achieve group and FIT room night goals and to develop ongoing relationships with customers.
• Effectively and efficiently updating all sales activities, reports and feedback.
• Responsible of evaluating and renewal of corporate contracts.
• Respect the Hotels SOPs and punctuality.
Education / Professional experience
• Vocational Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management school, or general Business school.
• Knowledge of the concepts and evaluation of market analysis processes.
• A clear understanding of hotel industry is necessary as well as analytical capabilities.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Hotel Industry and 1 year in sales in Dubai.
• Previous experience in a multi-cultural environment is essential.
• Communication skills : PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
• Languages: fluent in English and the national language, a 3rd language will be a plus
• Commitment to service.
• Strive for results (Career Oriented, pro-active , finding initiative ).
• Aggressive negotiation skills and creative selling abilities to close on business with a high conversion rate.
