Job Description

As the Sales Manager – Government for Sofitel Riyadh, you will be responsible for driving and managing government-related business opportunities and partnerships. This role requires a deep understanding of the local market, especially in government sectors, and the ability to build strong relationships with key government entities. You will contribute to the overall sales strategy of the hotel, aiming to position Sofitel Riyadh as the preferred choice for government officials and delegations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop Government Sector Business: Identify and target government accounts, including ministries, government agencies, embassies, and government-affiliated organizations to generate business opportunities.

· Build Strong Relationships: Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers in the government sector to secure contracts and business partnerships.

· Sales Strategy Implementation: Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and execute sales strategies that focus on government business segments, aligning with Sofitel’s brand values and standards.

· Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations on contracts and agreements with government entities, ensuring favorable terms and long-term partnerships.

· Market Analysis: Conduct market research and monitor government tenders, events, and other opportunities relevant to the hotel. Stay up-to-date with trends and regulations within the government sector.

· Pre-opening Responsibilities: Contribute to pre-opening activities, including establishing the government sales structure, setting up processes, and building client databases.

· Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and business plans to support senior management in decision-making.

· Event Management: Liaise with government clients for VIP and delegation stays, official meetings, conferences, and events, ensuring smooth execution of all arrangements.

· Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure the delivery of seamless guest experiences that meet government standards.

· Brand Representation: Represent Sofitel Riyadh at key industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance the hotel’s visibility and reputation within the government sector.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, with a focus on the government sector, preferably in the hospitality industry or a related field.

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

· Market Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the Riyadh and broader Saudi Arabian government landscape and business culture.

· Language Skills: Fluent in both English and Arabic (preferred).

· Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

· Personal Traits: Proactive, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced pre-opening environment.
