Job Description

Main Duties:

Administration : Requisitions food orders from store room and daily market list

 

Customer Service : Ensure that guests have service up to standards as of Novotel.

 

Financial: Responsible for all food product related cost.

.

Operational:

·  Responsible for all pastry room operations with full commitment to organize and run the operations effectively.

 

·  Maintains proper sanitation procedures and practice good housekeeping procedures for the entire work area, walk-in refrigerator, freezer, tables, bins, stoves, ovens, etc.

 

·  Plans, directs, controls and co-ordinates the activities of all personnel engaged in preparing, baking, cooking, selling food and cleaning to ensure an efficient and smooth operation.

 

·  Promotes and maintains effective communication between workers.

 

·  Sees to it that the kitchen is always in a safe condition to prevent unnecessary accidents.

 

·  Produces show pieces and buffet decorations out of chocolate and sugar for banquets and restaurants.

 

·  Writes recipe cards and prepares dishes for photographing and keeps file.

 

·  Knows all Job Descriptions of his sub-ordinates and assists in all tasks necessary.

Personne l: Establish rapport among co-employees at all levels and training.

Other Duties: Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
