Key tasks

Position Summary: The minibar attendant is responsible for replenishing all hotel minibar units, maintaining the units in good condition, and recording all guest sales of the day.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Employees must possess the following qualities in order to be successful in their position:

• Must have and maintain a professional appearance for our Luxury Hotel
• Must be a team player and enjoy working on and with teams
• Proactive approach when interacting with guest, co-worker or vendor
• Must have 1 year minimum experience as a minibar attendant within a similar type property
• Computer skills and micros knowledge are a plus
• Tips certification is an advantage
• Basic Math skills are a requirement

Essential and optional requirements

Job Requirements:

• Ensures that guests receive high quality services and service provision.
• Ensures that health and safety standards and procedures are respected (especially HACCP).
• Understands how to detect customer needs.
• Receives assignment list (Typically responsible for ½ of the rooms).
• Collect trolley.
• Checks all assigned guest room minibars.
• Replenishes used minibar products.
• Reports used minibar items on room inventory list to ensure proper guest billing.
• Verifies that minibar is properly working.
• Cleans and defrosts units when needed.
• Checks that every room contains a clean and updated minibar menu.
• Enters charges (collected from room inventory list) into micros for appropriate billing.
• Drops paperwork at front desk before leaving the premises.
• Performs duties that require organization, speed, efficiency, and bending and lifting.
• Handles multiple priorities, works under stress and exercises good judgment when dealing with guest situations and complaints.
• Always active during pre-shift meetings.
• Performs side duties including refilling minibar carts.
• Able to stand up for long periods of time.
• Able to push, lift, pull up to 50 pounds.
May work in other areas of the hotel if there is the need
