Job Description

To provide a consistent Grounds, Surfaces & Landscape Areas maintenance service that meets the hotel’s standards for cleanliness and presentation.                   

 

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·  Cleans, maintains & upgrade areas of responsibility according to set standards and procedures
·  Ensure all areas are well maintained and defect free
·  Report any defect (irrigation, …) or bad behavior which shall impact the health of the Landscape Areas
·  Report unusual behavior/activities in general to Supervisor
·  Maintain equipment & tools in a proper state of cleanliness and repair
·  Maintain check lists on a daily basis
·  Attend daily briefings with supervisor and takes on daily assigned tasks
·  Reports lost and found articles to the Desk coordinator immediately
·  Handle guest complaints, reporting them to Supervisor immediately
·  Comply with hotel’s health, safety and hygiene policy
·  Adhere to personnel grooming and hygiene standards
·  Attend meetings and training sessions as required
·  Participate to any extra Landscape & Grounds Projects assigned out of the normal tasks.
·  Servicing of all machines for landscaping (Brush-cutters, Chainsaws, Pole pruners, Lawnmower ect), by changing oil
·  To operator chainsaw and brush cutter
·  Climbing of trees to cut and trim branches.

 

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

·  Good Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance skills
·  Good knowledge of Flora in Seychelles & tropical areas

Qualifications

·  Secondary education O Level
·  Certificate in Agriculture/Horticulture or equivalent
