· Responsible for overall supervision, planning, controlling and coordination of all activities of the assigned outlet.
· Establish and maintain seamless co-ordination & co-operation with all departments of Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, and guest service.
· Monitor and supervise service flow in the assigned outlet.
· Any matter which may affect the interests of Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach should be brought to the attention of the Management
Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Food & Beverage Executive to join our team in Visakhapatnam, India. As a key member of our food and beverage department, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency in our dining establishments.
· Oversee daily operations of assigned food and beverage outlets, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction
· Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to maintain service standards
· Manage reservations, including taking bookings, confirming reservations, and handling cancellations
· Take food and beverage orders, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of menu items and making recommendations based on guest preferences
· Implement and maintain food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP) throughout all service areas
· Actively upsell and promote food and beverage offerings to maximize revenue while ensuring guest satisfaction
· Handle guest feedback professionally, working to resolve issues promptly and efficiently
· Assist in inventory management, including stock requisitions and quality control of supplies
· Collaborate with kitchen staff and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
· Support other food and beverage outlets during peak times or as required
· Participate in opening and closing duties, ensuring all areas are properly set up and maintained
· Stay informed about local cuisine and dining trends in Visakhapatnam to enhance guest experiences
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or related field
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a supervisory role
· Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences
· In-depth knowledge of food and beverage products, service techniques, and industry trends
· Proficiency in reservation management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software
· Strong understanding and application of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
· Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate team members
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
· Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
· Familiarity with Indian hospitality standards and guest expectations
· Knowledge of local cuisine and dining trends in Visakhapatnam
· Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and departments
Additional Information
· Responsible for daily administration, meeting and greeting, dealing with guests’ queries and complaints, and booking rooms. visitors
· Maintain high standards of customer services at the Reception desk so that customers’ expectations are consistently exceeded.
· Motivate and develop Reception team to ensure smooth functioning of the department and promote teamwork.
· Any matter which may affect the interests of Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach should be brought to the attention of the Management.
