Job Description

The Fire Life & Safety Supervisor is a critical role responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and operational integrity of our facilities. This position plays a vital part in maintaining regulatory compliance and safeguarding our assets.

·  Strong focus on safety protocols and asset protection.
·  Implement and maintain rigorous preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal facility performance.
·  Ensure strict compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
·  Lead and coordinate the emergency response team, maintaining readiness for all potential facility issues.
·  Conduct regular assessments of building systems, grounds, and physical plant to identify and address potential safety hazards or maintenance needs.
·  Maintain detailed documentation of all maintenance activities, safety inspections, and regulatory compliance efforts.
·  Provide expert guidance on fire life and safety matters to all levels of the organization.
·  Assists with managing and controlling heat, light and power and recommends current best methods for energy conservation and economical facility operations.
·  • Distributes preventive maintenance and repair work orders and monitors timeliness and quality of completion.
·  Builds positive relationships with external customers such as city building/zoning department, fire prevention bureau and vendors.
·  Ensures fire crew has complete understanding of all procedures, equipment and alarms.
·  Performs monthly property inspection to ensure buildings and grounds are maintained in excellent condition.
·  Conducts guest room and common area inspection to ensure guest satisfaction.
·  Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required.
·  Ensures building and equipment licenses and certifications are current.
·  Maintains property life safety systems (fire fighting equipment, sprinkler systems and alarm systems).

Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following stringent educational and experience requirements:

Option 1:

·  High school diploma (mandatory)
·  Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in engineering and maintenance or a directly related professional field
·  Completion of rigorous technical training in HVAC-R, electrical systems, plumbing, and Fire Life Safety (FLS) Certification

Option 2:

·  Associate's degree (2-year program) from an accredited institution of higher education in one of the following fields: Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or a closely related discipline
·  No prior experience required, but candidates must demonstrate a strong academic background and practical skills relevant to the position

·  Excellent communication and leadership abilities
·  Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance
