Job Description

Main Scope

Responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of all electrical, mechanical, and ELV systems within the hotel. Ensures optimal performance of life safety systems, BMS/GRMS, and full compliance with hotel standards and authority regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Operations

·  Supervise daily engineering shift operations
·  Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs
·  Maintain logs, reports, inventories, and technical documentation
·  Inspect completed works for safety and compliance
·  Estimate materials, manpower, and project requirements
·  Ensure adherence to emergency procedures and safety protocols

ELV & Life Safety Systems

·  Oversee Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting, CBS, UPS, BMS, and GRMS systems
·  Conduct regular inspections, fire pump testing, and system checks
·  Monitor systems and take immediate corrective action when needed
·  Maintain accurate ELV documentation and compliance records
·  Coordinate with approved contractors/service providers
·  Support fire drills and emergency preparedness activities

Compliance & Leadership

·  Ensure compliance with ISO standards, hotel policies, and safety regulations
·  Participate in risk management and sustainability initiatives
·  Supervise and guide engineering team members
·  Promote teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence

Qualifications

·  Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Electrical preferred)
·  Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel
·  Strong hands-on experience with ELV and life safety systems
·  Knowledge of BMS, GRMS, Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting systems
·  Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
·  Proficient in MS Office and engineering systems
