Job Description
· Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes, standards, and menus
· Ensure food quality, freshness, and presentation meet five-star hotel standards
· Follow instructions from the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in line with hygiene and safety regulations
· Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and sanitation standards
· Assist in mise en place and daily kitchen preparations
· Properly store food items and monitor stock rotation (FIFO)
· Minimize waste and follow cost-control procedures
· Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak periods
· Support special events, banquets, and à la carte service as required
· Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly
Qualifications
· Previous experience as a Cook, preferably in a five-star or luxury hotel or high-end restaurant
· Culinary diploma or vocational training in Culinary Arts (preferred)
· Knowledge of Greek and international cuisine is an advantage
· Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
· Strong teamwork and communication skills
· Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
· Basic knowledge of English; Greek language skills are an advantage
