About the job…
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to drive revenue, commercial strategy, brand and execution of the hotel’s sales and marketing initiatives. This is a hands-on role, you have an entrepreneurial approach.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will take ownership and follow the planned strategies and objectives.
The Amazing Opportunity…
As a Director of Sales & Marketing you will be responsible for:
· Working closely with the General Manager and Leadership Team to develop and drive successful commercial initiatives and Loyalty campaigns to successful achieve Hotel goals, budget and KPI’s.
· Driving and managing revenue initiatives across all market segments, ensuring high conversion rates.
· Inspiring and empowering our teams to create epic guest experiences.
· Proactively leading Loyalty recruitment throughout the Hotel
· Setting and reviewing sales strategies for new and ongoing business development to meet and exceed budget
· Leading the Hotel’s sales team, including conferencing and events to drive performance and innovation.
· Providing day to day leadership to sales team and continuing to building & maintaining strategic relationships in the market for Accor and existing partners.
· Developing new business.
· Work closely with Food & Beverage Management to proactively promote outlets, drive revenue and social media presence
· Working with all departments to ensuring marketing is inspirational and timely to promote the Hotel to the best effect.
· Develop and monitor marketing budgets, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
· Executing high level reporting and detailed business analysis regularly for owners and our Regional team.
· Creating innovative solutions to adapt as required through this dynamic market.
· Attending industry events for the purpose of networking, maintaining and continuing to build business relationships and gaining new sales leads.
· Working with all departments to ensuring marketing is inspirational and timely to promote the Hotel to the best effect.
· Develop and monitor marketing budgets, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources
· Be on top of industry best practices and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies
· There may be opportunities once contract is complete to work with the Accor group.
Qualifications
About you…
Qualifications and Experience:
· Previous 3-4 years experience in similar role in a 200+ room Hotel.
· Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop the team.
· Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills.
· Demonstrated business acumen with the confidence to exercise good judgement and consideration of commercial implications.
· Strong understanding of the competitive landscape and ability to develop strategic, data-driven marketing plans
· A willingness to be hands on within the operation and drive a culture of guest obsession and loyalty with the team.
· The ability to create meaningful connections, creating a high level of trust with our clients, guests and colleagues.
· A collaborative leader with a strategic and analytical focus
· A demonstrated ability to meet targets and implement sales initiatives.
· Previous experience with Opera Cloud, Delphi, Sales Force, Meeting Broker, Taguchi, Wordpress and Canva highly desirable.
· Experience in the hospitality industry and ACCOR is advantageous.
