Job Description

 

· 
Assist Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations and supervise Commis Chefs.

· 
Prepare and present food according to established recipes, standards, and quality requirements.

· 
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the kitchen, adhering to HACCP guidelines.

· 
Control food usage to minimise waste and support cost efficiency.

· 
Report operational issues, equipment damage, or ingredient shortages to the Chef de Partie.

· 
Support banquet, events, and special operational requirements as needed.

· 
Promote effective teamwork within the kitchen and across departments.

 

Qualifications

·  Culinary School / Vocational High School in Culinary Arts or equivalent, with 1–2 years' experience as a Commis Chef or similar role
·  Proficiency in professional cooking techniques and kitchen operations, including food safety and hygiene standards
·  Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong teamwork and initiative
·  Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Additional Information

Experience is an asset
Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
Fluency in English
Additional languages are a plus
