Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Demi Chef to join our dynamic culinary team at Ibis Perth. As a key member of the kitchen brigade, you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining a high standard of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

·  Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes to ensure quality and presentation meet company standards.
·  Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and execute menu items.
·  Maintain a clean and organised workstation while following food safety and hygiene regulations.
·  Ensure efficient stock management, including ordering and proper storage of ingredients.
·  Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff when required.
·  Uphold excellent kitchen organisation and safety standards.
·  Collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
·  Adapt to changing menus, special events, and seasonal offerings.

Qualifications

·  Previous experience as a Demi Chef or Commis Chef in a hotel or high-volume restaurant environment.
·  A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
·  Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
·  Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
·  Passion for food and a strong eye for detail in plating and presentation.
·  Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
·  Availability to work across a rotating roster, including weekends, mornings, evenings, and public holidays .
