Salary: £34,500
Location: Rugby (relocating to Coventry in June 2027)
Working Hours: 7:30 - 16:00, 40 hrs per week, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday cover
Please note: GTO, Logistics Services, Volvo Group Logistics will be relocating from Rugby to Coventry. Ideally, candidates should be happy to commute to both sites during the transition period.
Join our UK warehousing team and play a key role in delivering best-in-class service across a multi-SKU environment that values safety, quality, diversity and respect. You’ll support core warehouse operations, overseeing a team and assisting in the movement to automation in our new warehouse.
You’ll support multiple Volvo Group brands, including Volvo Penta, Renault Trucks, Volvo Trucks and Bus , handling a wide range of parts, from windscreens, truck beds, and engines to smaller components, ensuring the right products reach the right place efficiently and safely.

You’re a proactive, reliable team leader who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You take pride in doing things safely and correctly, enjoy solving problems and are always looking for ways to improve.
· A proven background in leading 10+ warehouse operatives throughout a shift.
· Safety-conscious and takes ownership of workplace safety.
· Proven ability to meet operational targets and deadlines under pressure.
· Fluent in English with a valid UK driver's license.
· Forklift licenses (Counterbalance, Reach Truck, High-Level Order Picker, or similar) with safe operating experience (desirable)
· Experience with Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and automated warehouse environments (desirable) .
· Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanners, accurately recording and retrieving data
· A digital mindset with advanced knowledge of basic Microsoft apps
· Proven ability to coach and develop your team with warehouse practices.
· Proactively communicate across all levels of the business.
You’ll work alongside another Warehouse Team Leader and report to the Logistics Operations Manager, who collectively oversee a team of warehouse operatives. What You Will Do
You will look after a team of warehouse operatives and ensure smooth warehouse operations, ensuring products are handled safely, stored correctly and prepared efficiently for shipment. You will use your IT skills to help move our operations to an automated system at our new site.
· You will lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
· Quality-check and store products accurately.
· Manage team schedules, including holidays and absences, to maintain business continuity.
· Lead in daily VPS meetings, employee review processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Manage stock and ensure that all orders are processed and fulfilled on time.
· Operate mechanical handling equipment safely and take action on any defects or hazards.
· Ensure all team members comply with Health & Safety and ISO policies
· Collaborate with team members to resolve daily/weekly operational issues
