VIE - Purchasing & Cost Project Manager H/F

  • Sainte-Foy (Capitale-Nationale)

Job description

Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future. If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.

In an increasingly complex, ambiguous, and uncertain environment, PREVOST must address major challenges: meeting growing demand in the North American market while increasing its production capacity.

This cannot be achieved without controlling costs, as the purchase of parts represents the company’s primary expenses. Cost reduction is therefore at the heart of the 2025/2026 strategy, and the Purchasing department plays a central role.

We are looking for a VIE whose mission will be the strategic management of various cost components, contributing to optimization initiatives alongside buyers, while working closely with the Volvo Bus Group in Sweden.

What you will do:

Plan, lead, and monitor deliverables related to cost projects

Manage KPIs: MCL, MPV, Carry Over

Support cost-reduction strategies with Purchasing teams

Analyze commodities: raw materials, exchange rate fluctuations

Track TAGs and cost fluctuation forecasts

Prepare cost performance reviews and manual adjustments

Guide project activities through proactive leadership and effective communication with all stakeholders, including Volvo Bus in Sweden

Your future team

The Purchasing team consists of approximately thirty professionals with diverse skill sets, working together in a structured environment focused on collective efficiency. Joining this team offers the opportunity to strengthen your skills within a dynamic setting, where initiatives that foster team cohesion are regularly organized.

Who are you?

Graduate in Business Administration, Purchasing, or Accounting

Fluent in French and English

Experience in Purchasing and project management within a matrix organization

Ability to work as part of a team and value diversity

Proficient in Excel, Power BI, and SAP

Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to coordinate multiple stakeholders

Ready for the next step?

If you are motivated by an international challenge and wish to grow in a dynamic and multicultural environment, apply now to join the Volvo Group.
