During 15 intense and exciting months, our Operations Graduate Program will give you a holistic view of our operational and logistic activities, including both the local and global perspective. You will be working with the technologies of tomorrow, building the products of the future – electric, connected, and automated. In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions.
You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several local and international job rotations and work on business-critical projects developing your competencies for tomorrow. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end-to-end supply chain, aftermarket parts and our remanufacturing operations. In addition, you will gather with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group.

Main activities and responsibilities:
We are looking for a true engineering ambassador, able to challenge the status quo and think outside of the box. Your ideas will revolutionize the way we think about and work within engineering.
Your primary responsibilities will be to collaborate with colleagues in developing methods and processes to ensure that the right technology is implemented to secure cost-effective and flexible production today and for years to come. You will work cross-functionally to synchronize engineering methods and reinvestment needs. You will actively participate in and drive the development of production methods alongside production engineers, technicians, managers, and other great co-workers cross-functionally to find the best solutions, both within the network at the Umeå factory and at other Volvo production units.
Who are you?

Personal credibility and integrity are crucial characteristics for this position. You are a social person that enjoys working with others in cross functional teams, and your focus is creating true customer value using analysis and data as a key enabler. International experience/background is a merit as you will interact with colleagues of other nationalities. Our new teammate will have shown a winning attitude and a great persona, in combination with a strong record of accomplishment and references.
Required knowledge/experience:
· BSc or MSc in engineering or equivalent.
· Recently graduated with a maximum of two years of prior working experience.
· Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
· Proficient in Swedish.
· Possesses a valid work permit for Sweden (if not a citizen).
· Driver license for car.
· Demonstrated interest or experience in automation/ Technology development.
· Previous experience in a production organization is advantageous.
· International experience is a plus.
