Who are you?
We are currently looking for students to work with our production teams as a Business, Marketing co-op. You should be prepared to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment; gaining experience and knowledge in various aspects of Communication, marketing, and /or business. As a valued member of our team within GTO, you will have the opportunity to work directly on production focusing on increasing efficiency and quality while utilizing your engineering education and continuous improvement mindset. GTO’s goal is to contribute to your development, as well as providing an opportunity to work in a business environment within the manufacturing industry.
Position Responsibilities
· Write material/articles for Internal Production Snapshot.
· Develop advertisements to promote the Continuous Improvement culture.
· Support the Recognition program, developing communication material, digitalization, trophies, etc.
· Develop E-learning training with the Continuous Improvement team.
· Update and manage the VPS (Volvo Performance System) page (Sharepoint).
· Make monthly reports of Continuous Improvement KPIs (key performance indicators).
· Develop digitalization solutions within the VPS (Volvo Performance System).
· Data analysis focuses on standards and repeatability
· Participate in project planning, implementation and improvements
· Assist kaizens on the organization (assembly lines, logistic areas, quality area, and Machining area)
· Drive the VPS SharePoint to organize training and documents
· Assist in follow-up, reports, and flow charts.
· Participate in functional meetings.
· Good attitude & continuous improvement mindset are critical to performing daily activities in this engineering role

Education and Program Requirements
· Applicant must be currently enrolled and pursuing a Data Science, Business, Communication and Analytics Degree.
· An accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies before starting the internship.
· Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75
· Strong communication skills.
· Valid US Work authorization
· During the program, not enrolled in courses and work 40/hours per week

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
