Would you like to participate in a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ project that will protect Calgary and its communities?
We are looking for a Methods Engineer Structure to join our team and build the Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir, 15km west of Calgary. The Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir will provide flood protection along the Elbow River in Calgary and other downstream communities.

About you:
Role & Responsibilities:
- Prepare site installation and lifting plans
- Select the suppliers of cranes, formwork and scaffolding
- Study the possibility of prefabricating part of the reinforcement, including the walls, in collaboration with the subcontractor
- Define the formwork to be used according to the needs of the site and the constraints of the schedule, then follow the development of the design with the supplier
- Prepare the formwork rotations to optimize the quantities and the schedule
- Define the scaffolding to be used according to the needs of the site and follow the design development with the supplier
- Optimize the construction phases defined by the client's consultant in order to reduce the number of concrete stops
- Make the link with the concrete expert of the head office for the adjustments or justifications to be brought according to the proposed optimizations
- Define the temporary structures necessary for the protection of the structures during winter works
- Review the drawings and reinforcement schedules produced by the subcontractor
Desired profile
Requirements & Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Comprehensive and proven experience on large civil engineering projects and if possible, in hydraulics
- Good interpersonal skills, listening skills and diplomacy
- Demonstrate rigor and method, analytical skills, and anticipation to successfully complete your project.
- Professional Knowledge of computer tools for project follow-up and planning
- Preferably autonomous on Autocad
- English (professional level)
