VINCI Construction Geoinfrastucture (VCGI) is a long-standing and recognised designer-builder of major linear infrastructure projects in France and abroad.  

SPIECAPAG carries out complex onshore pipeline projects and associated infrastructure such as pumping and metering stations, water supply networks and mineral transport networks.

The two companies are part of VINCI Construction's Major Projects Division and are working together on a project in Papua New Guinea.

To meet the ambitious goals of the project, we are recruiting a Project Control Manager (M/F) to join the project. This position will be based in Papua New Guinea, in a remote camp on the project site.

Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning of the project as well as its quality & cost effectiveness. To ensure it and with the support of your team you will :

• Monitor budget & planning to ensure that the project progresses in line with the schedule on time and within budget constraints


• Manage and direct all aspects of project implementation, including resources, finances, time frames, and quality control


• Coordinate communication among project stakeholders to ensure that everyone is aware of current project status


• Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management plan 


• Analyse data to determine project performance and make adjustments as needed


• Prepare status reports for management and client regarding project progress or problems with implementation


• Monitor the performance of contractors or subcontractors 


• Liaise with Quantity Surveyor, Financial Director and Doc Controller when needed

Desired profile

• You have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management preferably on large infrastructure projects


• You have a Civil Engineering or project management degree 


• You have excellent organisation skills 


• Your analysis skills are recognised, and you demonstrate a problem-solving attitude 


• You have excellent communication skills together strong leadership and management skills,


• Your experience of risk management allows you to be a relevant and trusted advisor for the Project Management team


• You are balanced and resilient and ready to accept the constraints of an on-site position


• You have a good command of English (including technical English, as contracts and standards are drawn up in English) and can work in a multicultural environment.
