Would you like to participate in a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ project that will protect Calgary and its communities?
We are looking for a Equipment Manager to join our team and build the Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir, 15km west of Calgary. The Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir will provide flood protection along the Elbow River in Calgary and other downstream communities.

About you:
Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage and control all equipment and vehicle fleet at the jobsite (50 pieces of heavy equipment & 30 light vehicles)
- Assist management with final equipment budgets and potential equipment purchases in order to meet budgetary goals
- Maintain the updated equipment inventory list and proceed with annual site inventory
- Request and collect information in regard to equipment utilization ratio and come up with recommendations to the Management team if needed
- Perform technical administration of contracts
- Enforce safety on the site at all times
- Maintain communications with local equipment dealers and appropriate vendors to ensure that dealers (support, repair, costs, and warranty recovery) meet expectations
- Investigate and evaluate the cause and extent of damage to the equipment involved in accidents
- Coordinate any equipment purchases, rentals, and sales
- Design and coordinate maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods
- Organize and carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
- Liaise with other departments, clients, and other engineering and production colleagues
- Arrange specialist procurement of spare parts, fittings, or components
- Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment
- Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs
- Write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
- Ensure continuous coverage of machines and equipment in the event of a breakdown
Requirements & Preferred Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in management of civil works equipment
- Efficiency in regular Office software usage
- Ability to be creative in finding solutions
- Strong organization skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet all project deadlines
- Must be a team player and have flexibility/desire to take on numerous task
