VINCI Construction Geoinfrastucture (VCGI) is a long-standing and recognised designer-builder of major linear infrastructure projects in France and abroad.  

SPIECAPAG carries out complex onshore pipeline projects and associated infrastructure such as pumping and metering stations, water supply networks and mineral transport networks.

The two companies are part of VINCI Construction's Major Projects Division and are working together on a project in Papua New Guinea.

To meet the ambitious environmental goals of the project, we are recruiting an Environment Engineer (M/F) to join the project. This position will be based in Papua New Guinea, in a remote camp on the project site.

Reporting to the Environmental Manager, you will :

• Review environmental documents.


• Analyse and measure the environmental impact of activities in terms of environmental rules and standards.


• Manage and prepare tender documents for environmental works when necessary.


• Advise operational staff and construction teams to anticipate problems related to environmental issues;


• Develop solutions to limit pollution.


• Provid technical support to the quality, maintenance and methods teams.


• Manage the required environmental actions.


• Dialogue with stakeholders to ensure that the project runs smoothly while meeting environmental challenges.


• Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations for your scope and manage documentation accordingly. 


• Monitor environmental performance and propose corrective measures where necessary


• Participate in environmental audits (internal, external, customer).

Desired profile

• Initial higher education in Environment, Ecology, Landscaping... 


• You have significant experience in the environmental field, acquired in the public works sector, ideally in major projects.


• You have excellent interpersonal skills


• You are autonomous and proactive in your work and organisation 


• You have good communication skills (oral and written)


• Your balance, temperament and resilience make you well-suited to joining an isolated base-living project (life in the workplace / alternating periods of work and rest).


• You have a good command of English (including technical English, as contracts and standards are drawn up in English) and are able to work in a multicultural environment.
