Financial Accountant Role – Temporary – Maternity Backfill

Position Summary:
As part of the finance team in Siemens Healthineers Laboratory Diagnostics in Swords, this role reports to the Finance and Costing Manager. The role delivers the month end closing process, liaising with various stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of financial and management information through several reporting streams. The person will have full responsibility for cost centre and balance sheet controlling and reporting. 
In addition, they will provide ongoing partnering and support to business managers. The role involves ongoing engagement with and support to a wide range of stakeholders requiring both individual contribution and teamwork, as part of the Finance team. 

Responsibilities:
Co-ordination of month end consolidated financial statements
Ensure timely closing of SAP and subsequent reporting submissions to head office
Cost centre controlling and reporting and budget co-ordination
Balance sheet reconciliations
Accrual preparation and execution
Project and departmental recharges to other group companies
Bi-monthly VAT return
Submission of quarterly and annual CSO reporting 
Participate on lean (productivity) initiatives and projects  
Liaising with external and internal auditors 
Ad-hoc reporting as required

Requirements:
Professional accounting qualification ACCA / CIMA
Advanced Excel competency
Ability to exceed internal customer expectations on management reporting and financial support
Partner with the business to achieve business goals
Self-motivated with an ability to work on own initiative
Capability to progress ongoing lean initiatives and continuous improvement processes
Excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills
Experience with SAP an advantage
Experience working in a multinational environment an advantage
