The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the development team, overseeing project execution, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality gaming experiences. This role requires exceptional leadership and technical expertise. The Lead Developer will report and closely collaborate with Technical Director.
What You’ll Do:
· Lead and manage a team of developers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure professional growth and project success.
· Oversee the design, development, and implementation of game features and systems, ensuring alignment with the project vision and goals.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, artists, and producers, to define, plan, and deliver high-quality game content.
· Conduct and facilitate code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and best practices within the team.
· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to game performance, stability, and functionality.
· Drive continuous improvement by staying current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and by implementing new tools and processes as needed.
· Ensure all development efforts adhere to company standards for quality, security, and compliance.
· Contribute to the overall game design and development strategy, providing technical insights and recommendations.
· Report to and work under the guidance of the Technical Director, ensuring alignment with technical direction and company objectives.
Relevant skills and experiences
· Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within a game development team.
· Extensive experience in game development, with a strong understanding of game engines, tools, and technologies.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with other departments.
· Ability to mentor and develop junior and mid-level developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
· Experience with Unreal Engine is a plus.
· Knowledge of mobile game development and online multiplayer systems is desirable.
