The Position:
This is a strategic hire for the business to bring on a passionate and people-orientated Warehouse Manager and offers long-term career development opportunities.
Role Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Manager position is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the site’s Warehousing job functions. The major tasks include Materials Receiving, Production Order Set Up, Label Stores, Sampling and Dispatch.
The role purpose also involves the expectation to challenge and improve current work processes to create savings in time and cost for the department.
This includes:

Promote strong Warehouse team member engagement
·
Ensure safe work practices are adhered to at all times
·
Ensure Quality compliant activities are completed at all times
·
Effective training plans are in place and competency assessments are completed
·
Have positive and frequent interaction with peers from multiple departments within the business to ensure collaboration
·
Drive process improvement benefits to provide growth opportunities for Warehouse staff
·
Engage with key Warehouse suppliers to ensure equipment and service levels are running to a high standard
·
Provide the information, instruction, training and supervision necessary to ensure the health and safety of Warehouse employees
·
Member of the Warehouse HSE Committee
·
Organise the required audits, inspections and training courses to remain compliant with regulatory and company policies
·
Ensure Warehouse operations practices are Quality compliant, and look for areas of improvement and simplification to reduce workload
·
Maintain a team Skills Matrix for coverage of roles and shifts
·
Release the monthly Roster for the Warehouse team
·
Oversee the Waste Disposal process, procedural and physical dump runs
·
Ensure all Cycle Counts are completed per the quarterly and annual targets
·
Manage the incoming Truck Dock and Container Yard operations enabling a smooth delivery unload flow
·
Pursue Sustainability improvement ideas for Warehouse materials
·
Other Tasks as directed by Head of Plant Supply Chain
About You & Key Criteria for the role:
·
Experience in Warehousing, Logistics, Inventory Management
·
Background in a Manufacturing environment, ideally with a large multi-national organisation
·
Experience in FMCG/ FMCH or Pharmaceutical industries preferred
·
Must have Forklift Licence
·
Technical skills: Microsoft Excel, SAP or other ERP system
·
Team Leadership qualities and ability to inspire and motivate
