ABOUT THE JOB OPPORTUNITY

An exciting opportunity became available for a recent graduated talent who is looking to join a winning team and help build scientific credibility for Sanofi’s CHC product portfolio in Portugal.

As a Consumer Health Care Medical Trainee, you will have the chance to develop skills in several medical areas and be responsible to develop/implement medical activities in line with both local and region-specific objectives and strategies.

The location for this role is Lisbon, Portugal

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Management of medical affairs activities:

·  Co-develop periodic reports of activities
·  Monitor scientific messages of competition to maximize local scientific projects
·  Ensure delivery of medical commitments at a local level by clearly defining the desired outcome(s) from prioritized activities defined in medical strategies and define operational milestones to deliver on these medical commitments. Key activities include: developing insights, anticipating trends, identified & executing on science inspired innovation opportunities (observational studies, IIS, claim enhancement, product development, life cycle management, local switch opportunities), scientific endorsement and stakeholder management, risk mitigation
·  Be part of local cross functional team (including but not limited to medical, RA, MKT, trade, sales, CMI, etc.) to support new product launches and assess portfolio

Medical training:

·  Provide medical training on products and therapeutic area to internal and external stakeholders in accordance to strategies, corporate and local guidelines
·  Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product/category developments and newest research, regulatory guidelines, standard operating procedures, pharmaceutical/ medical environment
·  Collect information about our competitors and compare with our products
·  Represent the company through his/her product range within the medical peer group in & outside the company

Scientific events:

·  Coordinate and participate in advisory boards with external experts
·  Update local KOLs with new scientific evidence

Promotion & Sales activities:

·  Work closely with marketing, trade, sales and public affairs, regulatory departments as well as other
·  Ensure promotional and non-promotional materials comply with local SOPs

Relationship with external stakeholders:

·  Contact, build and maintain a network of key opinion leaders who can act as influencers / advocates the Company's products
·  Support regulatory affairs with Communication / Medical information of the products to Health authorities /other stakeholders, if requested

Project management:

·  Close collaboration with other functions (Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Compliance, Quality, Transparency, Medical Information, Legal, Communication, CMI, Innovation, etc)
·  Collaboration with medical teams at the MCO/corporate level to ensure the proper implementation of the international medical strategy and a two-way communication flow on the characteristics of the local market

Business development:

·  Identify business opportunities, work transversally and with a very fluid communication with sales, mkt and others, within CHC as well as other GBUs to optimize our commercial competitiveness
·  the candidate will Implement and control all medical activities within their defined therapeutic area, in accordance with the current regulations, internal procedures and the directives of the Scientific Direction, in order to achieve the strategic objectives of the Company

ABOUT YOU

Mandatory to have:

·  A Master’s degree in a life Science degree (preferably a Degree in Pharmacy)
·  At least 1 year of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
·  Oral and written proficiency in Portuguese and English
·  Dedicated and persuasive with a “can-do” attitude and “think out of the box” mindset
·  Self-learning attitude
·  High standards of integrit
·  A PROTOCOL SIGNED BETWEEN YOUR UNIVERSITY AND SANOFI

Nice to have:

·  Understanding of consumer health care
·  Experience in working across and building effective partnerships between business, Medical and Regulatory
·  Strong business and commercial acumen and an ability to make strategic decisions independently
