Description:
Prospective students to work closely with SMS personnel, engineers, and the compliance team to help solve manufacturing and facility related issues in a highly regulated cGMP environment. Student to support the biologics business unit ensuring continued delivery of high-quality products to patients.
Responsibilities:

Support teams in Kaizen and continuous improvement exercises
·
Support Value Stream Mapping, 5S and other operational excellence activities
·
Compile, analyze and format data for routine use in decision making and performance management
·
Build databases and digital tools to support operational excellence
·
Support supply chain robustness and continuous improvement activities
·
Review and analyze technical drawings and procedures
·
Investigate material and equipment failures
·
Identify and implement process improvements
Level: Intern from College
·
Managed directly by SMS Department personnel
·
Must have ability to get gowned and access GMP area and be autonomous
Basic Qualifications :
·
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in STEM / engineering (Preference is Chemical, Mechanical, Computer System, Electrical)
·
Must have permanent US work authorization
Preferred Qualifications :
·
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
·
Self-starter capable of working in a high paced environment
·
Enjoy hands-on work and interest in all things mechanical and automated
·
Strong Computer Skills and Proficiency in MS Office is Required
