Job description



**Primary position location is Pearl River, NY but will require some travel to Meriden, CT on a weekly basis and/or per business needs**

This position is the principal financial adviser for Project Engineering (Solid line) and to IA Finance Head-Protein Sciences dotted line. This role performs standard to slightly complex accounting duties and Project portfolio management and maintains its processes and systems (CRT, Shine and SAP):

·  Produces Portfolio project reports (e.g., depreciation, labor, equipment reports)
·  Prepares standard journal entries as required
·  Participates in the annual budgeting process by assisting operations management in the completion of their CAPEX and Non CRI budgets and completion of the budget templates.
·  Analyze and challenge Forecasts and Budgets
·  Provide visibility to the top management of Capex figures / content
·  Be the Company referent/SME (Subject Matter Expert) for SPE, Capex, Project follow up & corresponding processes.
·  Candidate is required to make decision and exercise consistently independent judgment and discretion based on policies and procedures.

This position will be critical to relieve the PMF and the site Head to better engage in execution of Projects as well assisting in ad hoc queries in support of the corporate accounting projects:

·  Monitor at Site level the Cash-flow performance from a reporting and action plan stand-point in close cooperation with the concerned functions (Program Managers (PM)).
·  Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet capital investment requirements.
·  Participate in continuous improvement activity as required to improve CAPEX & NON-CRI planning function performance.

Liaison between Project Portfolio Management and finance in:

·  Facilitate/Assist PM to prepare CAPEX forms for approval.
·  Update CAPEX Spending IO (SAP).
·  Month-end CAPEX and Non CRI Accruals.
·  SOX Control; open project certification to SBS.
·  Liaison w/SBS to generate Asset Tag #; prepare Tag forms for signoff by PM that Asset has been Tagged.
·  Planning and leading Physical FA count.
·  Assist PMF on Project number creation and Maintenance in Shine.
·  Manage Capex processes and tools (SPEs, workflows, mySPE, eCRT,…)
·  Prepare and submit closing notes.
·  Prepare the FA tagging.
·  Prepare Actuals Capital Spending.
·  Prepare Budget, F1, F2 YE Landing for Capex and Non CRI ( in Shine).
·  Depreciation Projection.
·  Monthly Actual, Budget & Forecast Analysis and update in Shine and CRT.
·  Prepare Shine Budget Rates.
·  Review capital asset spending with facilities and project managers.
·  Liaison between IA (PSc Operations), Controlling and NA Category Procurement

Support MFG Operations and be a Liaison between Production and Finance in:

·  Inventory projections (roll forward by Item).
·  Track Manufacturing KPIs (yield & absorption) by work order using production database.
·  Provides overall production plan metrics with respect to product/campaign management for the Budget, F1, F2, YE Landing.
·  Analyzing Manufacturing Work Orders and proving explanations to Finance and Production MFG management for counter measurements or improvements.
·  Analyzes and reports on historical trending to identify reasons for missed production plan targets.
·  Maintain & close Production Work Orders, after they have been audited on completion.
·  Correction Entries related to Production as needed.
·  WIP Inventory level projections to avoid over production and/or write off.
·  Providing Financial Reports to +QDCI.
·  Scenario analysis and business strategy related to product planning and product lifecycle
·  Provide Inventory Roll-Forward (RF) by stages (Act, Bud, Forecasts).
·  Provide manufacturing Projections for Budget, Forecast (F1, F2 & YE Landing);-
·  Performance (Absorption & Yield).
·  Inventory Levels.
·  Potential losses.
·  Prepare Monthly WIP Accrual entry.
·  Tracking and booking potential plant losses & write offs (including track and analyzes raw material and WIP inventory/expiry).
·  Participate in continuous improvement activity as required to improve operations or planning function performance

Key responsibilities:

·  Responsible for CAPEX/OPEX Projects (SHINE and Financial reporting)
·  Responsible of Production Key Indicator report. Close Work Order and analysis of the variances
·  Maintain accounting entries and report locally and globally on compliance with policies and procedures
·  Provide support to Finance area regarding to CAPEX, NON-CRI, WIP, MFG metrics for month-end close, Forecasts, Budget

Education:

·  BS degree in Engineering with 10 years’ experience in cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment (Biotech or Vaccines)
·  Knowledge of SAP, CRT, SHINE and Great Plain (preferred) or similar shop floor manufacturing reporting system
·  Standard Costing, BoMs, Routings, and work order management, CAPEX, Key Performance Indicators.TM1, Hyperion (HFM), Advanced Excel, Access
