Reliability Engineer
Based in Haverhill, Suffolk
About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Sanofi to join us as a Reliability Engineer. You will be defining and implementing a reliability engineering program aligned with the overall Engineering strategy. Working with business stakeholders you’ll ensure that they are engaged in the reliability program and regularly updated throughout.
Key responsibilities
As you define the reliability program you will identify and manage any asset reliability that could adversely affect plant or business operations through increased risk of failure.
· Support the manufacturing process and help with investigations to troubleshoot complex issues.
· Analyses site processes using own knowledge and experience to make appropriate recommendations.
· Design, develop, monitor and refine Site Asset Management Plan - (Value Add Maintenance Plan, predictive testing to identify, isolate and prevent inherent reliability issues, Loss prevention and risk management).
· Ageing asset assessment strategy - work with utilities function.
· Chair weekly Reliability review meetings with stakeholders to discuss, monitor and agree actions for improvements.
· Identify and use site KPI's / Matrix to identify areas of most importance. Aligning to Global Sanofi standards so data meets internal and external requirements for auditing purposes.
· Share improvements sitewide to improve performance, culture and team perception (OPL, +QDCI…etc).
· Support, promote and play a key role in CMMS improvements.
· Play key role in supporting the implementation of APU/TPM initiatives on site.
· Understand customer and site strategy needs but tailor a Reliability strategy relevant to each area.
· Review PM frequency to reduce 'wasted' activities (supports cost reduction initiatives).
· Work closely with new Project Engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new / modified installations. Adherence to Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM).
· Advise on the design, install and commissioning of new equipment (FAT's, acceptance testing & inspection criteria), including final check out of new installations.
· Applies value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign, and make/buy decisions.
· Act and advise as an SME for business audits as required.
· Will apply appropriate tools and knowledge to improve reliability and maintainability to include:
Statistical process control, reliability modelling and prediction, fault tree analysis, Weibull analysis, six sigma methodologies, root cause analysis and root cause failure analysis, failure reporting analysis and corrective action system.
About You
To excel in this role, you will need to have: -
· Engineering Qualification (Degree, HNC, HND), or proven relevant experience.
· Experience within manufacturing environments such as Pharma, Petrochem, Aviation, Chemical, Food or similar highly regulated industries.
· Strategic planning – ability to think forward and make long term plant plans outside of the day to day.
· Able to work alongside maintenance technicians to advise on engineering techniques and to ensure work is carried out correctly and safely.
· Organisational planning, proactive change management.
· Root Cause Analysis experience.
· Good communication skills – interacting with stakeholders to present plan of action for the site.
· Analytical mindset to be able to process data and create plans.
