​A Real World Evidence (RWE) Data Analyst Internship will focus on use statistical, analytical, data management and computational skills to execute analyses of pre-existing data to investigate research questions in collaboration with colleagues from health economics and value assessment (HEVA), medical affairs, business operations & strategy (BO&S) and commercial product teams. The Data Analyst Intern will work closely with a team of RWE analysts and epidemiologists on analysis and presentation of data findings. These responsibilities require a background in statistics, statistical programming, or other data science specialties. 

​JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The RWE Data Analyst Intern will participate in the following activities:

· 
Exploratory and descriptive analyses in large databases

· 
Assessment of study feasibility based on diagnoses and treatment codes

· 
Visualization of study findings

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:

​Education:

· 
Academic training in the areas of mathematics, statistics/biostatistics, statistical programming, observational research, epidemiology, health economics, or a related quantitative field



Required Skills:

· 
Experience with R, python and/or SQL

· 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, collaboration and interpersonal skills
