Our Team:

The successful applicant will join the Cell Science and Technology team, who’s mission is to optimize Sanofi’s stable cell line Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) expression platform.  To accomplish this, our team routinely employs genetic engineering of cell lines, as well as advanced molecular biology techniques in support of cell line generation and characterization, with the purpose of improving production of next generation biotherapeutics.

Job Description:

· 
Generation of CHO cell lines stably expressing candidate biotherapeutics via random integration, transposase mediated integration, or recombinase mediated integration of transgenes

· 
Perform genetic and phenotypic characterization of CHO cell lines, including transgene copy number and transcript analysis, cell growth, and protein production

· 
Execute various molecular techniques for assembly of expression vectors, including Gibson assembly, PCR, restriction endonuclease digestions, DNA plasmid preparations, etc.

· 
Use of basic sequence analysis tools (BLAST, Geneious, etc.) to analyze vector and genomic nucleotide sequences

· 
Prepare reports, presentations, and publications to effectively communicate plans, progress, and results.

About you

Basic Qualifications:

· 
PhD +0-3 years of postdoctoral training

· 
All candidates must have permanent US work authorization. No visa sponsorship will be provided

· 
Experience with mammalian cell culture techniques, cell line engineering, and molecular biology

· 
Technical skills: aseptic technique, cell counting, passaging, cryopreservation, transfection, Gibson assembly, PCR, DNA/RNA isolation, ddPCR

Preferred Qualification:

· 
Experience with bioinformatics and data analysis – analysis of RNAseq and next gen sequencing data (short and long read data)

· 
Previous first-author publication(s) in internationally recognized journals

· 
Ability to meet aggressive timelines and deliverables in a collaborative environment

· 
Excellent speaking, reading and writing skills

· 
Strong analytical and organizational skills

· 
Curiosity and willingness to work independently
