About the Opportunity
Join Sanofi Finland as a Pharmacovigilance (PV) & Medical Information (MI) Officer / Country Safety Head (CSH) Back-up In this role you will be reporting to the Country Safety Head/MI manager and you will also act as her back-up.
As part of the North Europe PV team you will be exposed and recognized as part of different working groups and global initiatives. At local level the team is partnering with business units and corresponding functions and have direct impact on company projects.

In this role you will….
· Contribute to pharmacovigilance (PV) related activities in Sanofi Finland including ensuring correct reporting of individual case safety reports from multiple sources to our global safety database and health authorities in close collaboration with local and global counterparts;
· Train and share insights in legal requirements regarding PV with internal partners and external vendors to ensure proper management of digital initiatives, market research, patient programs, studies and other activities;
· Support the Country Safety Head in management of local RMP/aRMM activities, safety surveillance activities, safety issues and product alerts;
· Contribute to a high quality local Medical Information service, focusing on customer needs; including management of external call-center;
· Obtain and maintain good knowledge of the PV and MI aspects of the company portfolio;
· Contribute to the Northern Europe PV team via projects and day-to-day collaboration;
For the Country Safety Head (CSH) back-up part of the role you will replace the CSH in most of her tasks when she is out of office, including acting as local PV contact for the authorities and being accountable for PV inspections. You will act as a key contributor to support in maintaining and further developing a compliant, robust and efficient PV system. You will have an important role in collaboration with the country business units and functions as well as external vendors and partners.
About you
Qualifications/ Education & work experience
· University degree in Medicine/ Pharmacy/ Veterinary Medicine/ Health Sciences
· 2+ years of experience in Pharmacovigilance
· Strong clinical interpretational skills based on limited information provided along with understanding of medical terminology.
· Strong knowledge in EU Pharmacovigilance regulations and the regulatory environment in Finland, as well as industry standards
· Strategic mindset and sound judgement with an ability to identify opportunities and influence stakeholders
· Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills and apply urgency especially when enforcing safety rules and global procedures; capacity to work under pressure and manage high amounts of complexity within tight deadlines
· Outstanding interpersonal skills of diplomacy and team player dynamics, strong communication skills with health-care professionals, patients and colleagues, strong skills in planning and prioritization, knowledge of and respect for cultural differences, ability to work in international and transversal teams.
· Excellent computer literacy skills; excellence in MS office
· Oral and written fluency in English and Finnish + Swedish (preferably)
