Job description
Job Purpose:
· The New Product Planning (NPP) Manager is responsible for evaluating and prioritizing growth opportunities for the Sanofi portfolio and prioritization for subsequent pipeline assets. Additional responsibilities will include market research management for early product development and competitive intelligence. Close coordination with R&D, BD, and commercial colleagues will be critical for success in this role.
· The position demands a good understanding of medical and market knowledge and excellent communication skills to facilitate the interaction/partnership among Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Academia and Sanofi. The NPP manager is also responsible for ensuring the Company's adherence to high standards of conduct in all its dealings with the medical profession and supporting health care disciplines, and with consumers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Design, establish, and maintain process for cross-functional strategic new product planning with focus on innovation roadmap for pipeline assets
· Develop market and opportunity assessments, including disease area understanding, competitive landscapes, unmet need and product profiles for pipeline compounds
· Coordinate pre-commercialization activities for these pipeline assets prior to handing them off to commercial teams
· Collaborate to multidisciplinary taskforces for pipeline strategy development in selected therapeutic areas/diseases (disease opportunity profiles, pipeline business case preparation)
· Stay abreast of key competitive development initiatives and changes in market directions, adapting marketing strategies accordingly
· Act as medical leader in early Research & Development (R&D) core teams (i.e.: by leading extended commercial teams, provide initial brand strategy into Target Product Profiles, Product Development Plans, Qualitative Project Cards;
· Assist in identifying the necessary clinical trial end points needed to successfully commercialize products. Give medical input in clinical trial design; develop early businese assessment
· Lead the assessment and quantification of business development opportunities for the Taiwan and HongKong MCO (TWHK MCO)
· Provide recommendations to the executive team, ensuring decisions and plans are informed by the treatment and market access landscape, competitive environment, unmet needs and customer insights
· Work closely with the Business Development (BD) and R&D team to identify and assess opportunities, and ensure the TWHK MCO Leadership team receives regular updates regarding pipeline assets and targets
· Continually review, evaluate and enhance the current product offering. To ensure that all products offered are in-tune with customer needs and deliver an excellent member/userexperience. Co- developing cross-functional collaborative systems and processes for measuring product usage and making recommendations to enhance performance.

Education:
· Medical degree, Master of Science diploma major in in Scientific disciplines (Medicine, Pharmacy, CTF, Biology,Biotechnology,) is highly preferred
· PhD or Master/Specialization in scientific or economic disciplines highly preferred
Experience & Knowledge
· Minimum 3 years of successful Medical experience of branded company, or minimum 3 years of successful sales/marketing experience with branded company plus a master degree of pharmacy/pharmacology/ business administration.
· Good understanding of team-based drug development process
· Knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical market scenario
· Scientific knowledge of human biology, pathophysiology and pharmacology
· Knowledge of forecasting principles
· Knowledge of strategic marketing/brand planning principles
· Knowledge of market analysis
· Knowledge of pricing & reimbursement principles and the main health care systems in Taiwan
· Knowledge of competitive intelligence principles and tools
· Knowledge of Microsof suite (Excel in particular)
