Position Summary

The National Account Manager, Dollar Channel will work closely with the entire Sanofi Dollar Team to contribute to Sanofi CHC Values and Vision by maximizing long-term and short-term goals with one of our fastest growing retailers. This position will be remote based in the U.S.  and reports to the Director of the Dollar Channel. This person must thrive in a team environment and maintain high-level customer contacts and relationships. This position also has the responsibility to communicate and implement Sanofi CHC US national sales initiatives with our customers. The National Account Manager, Dollar Channel will have high interactions with Dollar Channel Buyers (Dollar General / Family Dollar / Dollar Tree) involving strategic decisions on new items, Trade Management, Promotional Planning, and planogram positioning. Understanding the role of the competitive environment, maintaining awareness of competitive conditions, and reporting them promptly to management are also required.

Main Responsibilities

· 
Effectively engage and manage broker relationships supporting the Dollar Channel business, including line review preparation, joint business planning, and promotional/assortment strategy.

· 
Build brand equity and profitably increase the sales volume on all assigned brands

· 
Achieve assigned sales quota through the maintenance and expansion of distribution, merchandising and promotional activity for each assigned brand

· 
Build strategic partnerships with the Dollar customers by integrating Sanofi CHC and the Dollar Channel customers’ strategic initiatives

· 
Identify opportunities to maintain and expand distribution on existing business and find unique opportunities for incremental sales and profit

· 
Develop and execute promotional programs and off-shelf display support to create incremental revenue and expand the brand reach among Dollar Channel Shoppers

· 
Build strong cross functional partnerships internally and consistently shares best practices

· 
Comply with all company policies, instructions, and directions for the fulfillment of company objective and to maximize profits from sales

· 
Be alert to competitive products and merchandising practices; keep management informed as updates are known

· 
Prepare weekly sales reports and expense reports as required

· 
Prepare and submit special reports, acceptance of products, or competitive conditions, as may be requested by management or as observed in the marketplace

· 
Ensure observance of safe work practices to include the immediate work area, visits to customer sites and operation of a vehicle used for company business

About You

Education

· 
BA/BS from an accredited college with a focus in business preferred.

Experience

· 
7+ years proven sales experience in a related position within the consumer products goods industry with direct account responsibility.

· 
Previous experience selling to and managing the Dollar Channel is preferred.

Professional Skills

· 
3+ years’ experience utilizing Nielsen or IRI syndicated data; excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to analyze and evaluate several sources of data to develop actionable insights.

Role Specific Competencies

· 
This position requires extensive use of computer equipment. Must have a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft business software to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

· 
Familiarity with Nielsen or IRI programs is preferred.

· 
This position requires the ability to travel and have overnight stays

· 
Special Requirements: 20% travel required.

The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $150,000. In addition to sales incentive (role may my eligible for long term incentive depending on level and performance); all compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
