About the job

This is an exciting time to join the immunology medical team as MSL Manager to lead the dermatology and respiratory MSL team in the UK and Ireland.

Main responsibilities

·  Leadership (including line management) of the dermatology and respiratory MSLs in UK, and dotted line leadership of the MSL in Ireland. Development and retention of talent.
·  Accountable for the results of the MSL team, driving excellence in a high performing team.
·  Integral part of the medical team and the franchise providing insight from the field at national level.
·  Works effectively in a collaborative manner with sales, marketing, clinical development and the market access teams to achieve business goals.
·  Ethical leadership to ensure all activities are conducted to high standards consistent with current legal and ethical considerations and Corporate policy.

About you

·  Educated to degree level or equivalent with a scientific qualification, PhD level is preferable or previous substantial experience within medical affairs in an MSL role.
·  Proven field experience – preferably in medical affairs.
·  Previous line management required. Line management of a field team a strong advantage.
·  Deep understanding of the MSL role and passionate about the value of MSLs to HCPs and the business.
·  Competence in principles of people management and coaching.
·  Proven experience of building strong working cross-functional team relationships to achieve results.
·  Knowledge of Regulatory guidelines, Medicines Act and the Human Medicines Regulations, ABPI Code of Practice and Standard Operating Procedures, and experience of their implementation within the business environment.
·  Working knowledge of the NHS, including the ability to understand clinical priorities and how processes work within this system.
·  Excellent interpersonal skills.
