To do so, there is a need to align scientific and data practices, establishing a common data continuum across teams (Research & Biomarkers, Process Development & Innovation and Analytical Sciences, Clinical, Manufacturing, …) and sites.

Embedded within mRNA Data & Computational Sciences Team, you will contribute to develop, deploy and exploit digital solutions for end to end data integration and advanced analytics to enable full data driven strategy and decision-making process.

Main responsibilities:

The Data Governance Manager is responsible for all aspects of data governance, including creating and maintaining standards and best practices for data provisioning and data integration.

The Data Governance Manager acts as the subject matter expert within the organization and is able to liaise with technical staff, senior leaders, product development teams, and functional managers to ensure data goals and objectives are met.

This position is based in Waltham, MA. Minimal travel (<10%) may be required.

1. Manages mRNA CoE Data Policy & compliance

· 
Define and implement principles, policies, standards and guidelines for data management inclusive of data access and sharing.

· 
Responsible for defining, implementing and monitoring of a policy for FAIR Data Management (FDM) within the CoE 

· 
Responsible for compliance against legal or ethical standards (Data Privacy, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) GxP, SOX, etc.)

· 
Ensure data is properly classified according to use, sensitivity, and importance and is maintained according to the predefined data lifecycle

2.Responsible for harmonizing Business Data Integration

· 
Understand Scientific Data and owns a mapping of data domains used within the mRNA CoE. Act as an expert of data definitions, data flow, legacy data structure, access right model.

· 
Work with scientists and data stewards to ensure alignment of data practices and adoption of standards across sites and teams. 

· 
Onboard Data Domain Owners and animates mRNA CoE Data communities

· 
Ensure alignment with other Internal or  external data governance instances

· 
Support the solution architect to provide best solutions to meet project data needs

3. Ensure Data Cataloguing, Monitor Data Quality to enable Re-use

· 
Accountable for defining consistent data catalogues and ensures data are structured according to business needs.

· 
Document the full data lineage of enterprise data assets

· 
Accountable for Data Quality Rules definition; Measure the quality of data involved in the data continuum against 6 dimensions :  Accuracy, Completeness, Validity, Consistency, Timeliness, and Uniqueness

· 
Provide advice and support on improvements identified from the FAIR maturity and Data Quality indicators

· 
Identifies opportunities for data re-use

About you

Experience : Combined relevant experience in biopharmaceutical research/lab and development data management of 7+ years is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

· 
Experience with data management technologies (Informatica, Collibra, etc)

· 
Strong knowledge of biopharmaceutical R&D data, data domain (across Research, CMC, Clinical, Regulatory) and metadata.

· 
Experience in big data infrastructure and data warehouse

· 
Experience with Change Management Processes

· 
Any experience with SQL / ETL in a AI / ML deployment environment is a plus

Proven skills in leading complex projects in an international environment.

Education

· 
Master in Computer Science, Engineering, Biotechnology or equivalent degree

Languages:

· 
Excellent knowledge of English language (spoken and written)

· 
French is a plus
