About the Opportunity

In Sanofi Genzyme we have an exciting portfolio within rare lysosomal storage disorders. A specialist opportunity has arisen for a Medical Science Liaison for Rare Diseases who wants to be an active player in our Rare Disease team.

We are seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison dedicated to establish and maintain professional relationships with current and future experts within Rare Diseases, as well as drive medical education, support and communication to healthcare professionals (HCPs) in relation to the Sanofi Genzyme's Rare Disease area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join Sanofi at a very exciting time.

To be successful in this position you will have experience from the Pharmaceutical industry, be motivated by getting into new areas and driving educational activities, and medical communication/medical writing for lay people.

Key responsibilities:

·  Maintain and develop strong relationships with current and future experts within rare disease
·  Ensure that the latest information on relevant disease areas is available and communicated to the right audiences i.e. for Gaucher-, Fabry-, Pompe disease and MPS-1
·  Conduct and drive medical education for key experts and HCPs through presentations and other interactions to enhance disease as well as product knowledge
·  Drive/support diagnostic projects and other medical projects
·  Prepare effective medical communication content for digital media (e.g. webpages, magazines, social media) in relation to the relevant disease areas in collaboration with digital and commercial managers
·  Conduct internal medical education to enhance disease and product knowledge
·  Remain updated on new competitive trends and product opportunities with the purpose of coordinating and reviewing the effectiveness of medical activities
·  Support pricing and reimbursement applications and negotiations when needed
·  Maintain and develop strong relationships with scientific societies and central decision makers at relevant health authorities in Denmark, when needed

About You:

·  Master/PhD/MD within biological /medical field
·  Danish language plus English (spoken and written)
·  At least 2 years pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably as medical science liaison/medical advisor
·  Experience in medical communication with physicians /key experts and other HCPs
·  A successful track record of developing relationships and with HCPs
·  Excellent communication and presentation skills.
·  Ability to work well in both a team environment and independently.
·  Strategic mind-set whilst being target-oriented and results-driven, with an understanding of short and long term goals.
·  Team player and strong interpersonal skills.
·  High initiative and problem solving skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience

·  Preferably knowledge within the area of rare genetic diseases
·  Preferably experience with medical communication/medical writing for lay people
·  A successful track record of developing relationships patient organizations and other key stakeholders is highly valued
·  Preferably knowledgeable within all aspects of clinical trial methodology
·  Preferably experience with compliance practices and knowledge of drug safety and regulatory affairs
