Medical Science Liaison Atopic Dermatitis+ the Netherlands

About the Opportunity

Sanofi Genzyme is currently welcoming applications for the role of Medical Science Liaison Atopic Dermatitis+ the Netherlands , focusing on our treatment for Atopic Dermatitis, also incorporating Asthma and new indications.

In this role, the Medical Science Liaison applies medical and scientific (non-promotional) expertise regarding the company product and related therapy areas to educate Health Care professionals (HCPs) on Genzyme's products. This includes guiding HCPs on the optimal use of Genzyme's products, advancing the multidisciplinary treatment pathway, educating on type 2 disease and the treat-to-target approach (through projects), and discussing better ways to collaborate and refer patients between specialisms to enhance hospital treatment of AD (and Asthma) patients. In addition, the Medical Science Liaison provides market intelligence and training to internal colleagues. To succeed in these objectives, the Medical Scientific Liaison is a strong project manager.

Key responsibilities

·  Identifies, develops and maintains collaborative relationships with Paediatricians, Allergists, Immunologists and ophthalmologists and GP's as involved in the treatment of AD (and Asthma) patients;
·  Strongly communicates on and involves HCP's in the type 2 pathways underlying atopic diseases;
·  Interacts with above stakeholders' cross-specialism to generate a better understanding of each other's responsibilities in treatment pathways;
·  Creates an expanding network of HCP's, continuously sharing expertise on the collaborative treatment of AD (and Asthma) patients;
·  Coordinates local cross-specialism and cross-indication type 2 disease projects, advisory boards, diagnostic support, PROM implementation and local insight gathering;
·  Responds to technical and scientific questions;
·  Delivers the local Medical Affairs plan in collaboration with relevant departmental colleagues;
·  Prepares and/or contributes as appropriate to initial and ongoing medical/scientific disease area and product-specific training.

About you

·  Degree in (Medical) Life Sciences;
·  Specific disease area (immunology / dermatology) knowledge is an advantage;
·  Previous customer facing experience in the pharmaceutical industry (1 to 2 years);
·  Project management experience;
·  Self-driving and collaborative;
·  Fluency in Dutch as well as in English.
