The ITS ReD Architect will report to the Head of ITS Research & Early Development (ReD) and CMC. He / She will be a key strategic leader of the ITS ReD team, and will work closely with the service lines and program leaders to establish the ReD technology strategy and ensure existing and future projects align to the Research & Early Development and CMC overall business strategy and goals, while also ensuring the overall interoperability and consistency of business processes, applications and infrastructure within ReD & CMC. As projects and solutions are identified, the ReD Architect will be defining the solution architecture visions and the specific architecture design that will be implemented by the technology project.
This role is a key stakeholder in the design of the appropriate IT architecture for the major ReD programs, which include Next Generation Data Registration (NGDR), the Biologics Discovery Platform, Analytics for Project Teams, and iLab.
The Architect is a key member of the ITS Research and Early Development LT team and is expected to promote the Enterprise ITS Architecture principles.
As a member of the global ITS organization, the ReD Architect will contribute to the definition of the Enterprise ITS Architecture, with his/her knowledge of specific technology domains and his/her operational experience on projects.
Knowledge and Skills (Essential):
· University degree or college diploma.
· Minimum of 10 years proven work experience in a solution and/or enterprise Architecture role.
· Competent and proficient understanding of platforms, applied to the Business area.
· Solid working knowledge of current technologies & methods.
· Proven and successful track record leading complex projects within a global environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Global/multi-cultural experience.
· Able to foster working relationships and lead teams in a global environment.
· Strong vendor relationship management skills.
· Proven understanding of the R&D value chain and/or work experience in the life sciences and/or pharmaceutical industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Good understanding of existing IT technologies, data types, and ontologies at Sanofi R&D.
· Demonstrated understanding of the processes and workflows in ReD and CMC.
· Willing, ready and enthusiastic to bring digitalization to the scientific community.
