Intercompany CoE Analyst

Job Summary

Accordingly and in line with best practices, Sanofi decided to create an integrated interco Center of Excellence (CoE) combining a deep knowledge in business processes, technical expertise and software delivery with a passion for user experience.

· 
This role is reporting to the Interco CoE Operations Lead based in Kuala Lumpur.

· 
The role will have the overall responsibility to:

· 
Deliver intercompany complex accounting services to SBS,

· 
Manage reporting of intercompany accounts,

· 
Provide data analysis to aid in the preparation of proposals,

· 
Address operational issues and follow through to resolution in an effective and timely manner,

· 
Deliver operational KPIs and comply with Sanofi policies and guidelines,

· 
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

This role is located in the captive and part of the A2R organization within the Sanofi Business Services (SBS) organization. A2R is an end-to-end process organization that consolidates the following activities: Fixed assets, Intercompany Accounting, Bank Accounting, General Ledger Accounting and closing, Cost Accounting, Tax accounting, Financial and Statutory Reporting, Master Data.

Delivery service:

· 
Major rebilling calculation for R&D, royalties and Central cost based on actuals and forecast

· 
Ensure Period End in interco Closing steps are performed accurately and on time, identification and follow-up of open items in all balance sheet accounts.

· 
Analysis of Intercompany Aging Balance for vendors and customers services& product related

· 
Perform the month-end reporting process (reconciliation, consistency checks & submission) including insightful analysis on key variances and doing adjustments if needed

· 
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations (excluding GRIR accounts) and provide suitable documentation and clearing reconciling items on a timely basis

· 
Perform declaration in netting system when settlement is not automated

· 
Perform controls documentations for the reciprocal transactions and able to handle audit queries related to Intercompany transactions

· 
Perform dividends calculation & booking with the local information

· 
Complete all activities as per the global Core Model and operational KPIs

· 
Develop expert level knowledge of the activities in scope as well as local knowledge of entities in scope and become a super-user

· 
Pro-actively anticipate operational issues and coach junior analysts

· 
Contribute to business reviews

· 
Identify process improvement opportunities through elimination of redundant activities

· 
Participate in process automation initiatives and ensure seamless adoption and transition

· 
Execute in compliance of processes, transactions and reports with Sanofi accounting policies, internal control guidelines and audit / SOX requirements

· 
Consistently achieve and sustain KPI for Intercompany.

Stakeholders’ Management

· 
Sets up close relationships with other stakeholders (Local A2R teams, legal, IFSA, Treasury, Corporate Tax) when needed to allow smooth activity completion

· 
Set up close relationship within the organization (Continuous Improvement Interco CoE Team, Operations accountants and Master Data, Technology & automation) to provide improvements in the process & Solutions to secure an End to End optimized & efficient process.

Geographic scope

· 
Intercompany transactions for all JPAC/Greater China affiliates with other affiliates.

The intercompany transactions for Latin-American affiliates will be managed by Captive in Bogota and the intercompany transactions for European, North America will be managed by Captive in Budapest.

Expected Skills

Good understanding of General accounting and intercompany processes

Hands on expertise in GL accounting and reporting

· 
High level of accuracy required in day to day working

Experience in working within a Business Services organization (advantageous)

Fluency in Chinese & English mandatory

Knowledge of other European languages (advantageous)

Background and Experience

· 
Graduate degree in accounting or finance

· 
Good and proven experience in GL accounting preferably in an international multicultural environment

· 
Operating knowledge of SAP

· 
Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs

· 
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and expertise of MS Excel

· 
Hands-on experience of SAP FICO  and other accounting related IT tools (e.g. Blackline & TIMI) (advantageous)

· 
Min 2 years of working experiences in Intercompany/ Account to Report
