Position Summary:

The Data Specialist will ensure that the site Data Historian System is properly built, qualified and contains the appropriate data to take full advantage of computerized system capabilities and maximize benefit for the business. This position requires a great deal of creativity while balancing interaction with multiple departments including IT, Engineering, Operations, MTech, Quality and Automation.

Key Responsibilities:

· 
Build business processes within the Toronto data historian system.

· 
Develop asset framework structures, attribute templates, event frame templates, visualization templates, data organization principles, etc.

· 
Ensure appropriate process and equipment data is collected/organized according to user requirements (day to day operational perspective as well as to support back-end data analytics, deviation investigation, SPC, process improvement, etc).

· 
Review equipment tag lists for completeness and consistency.

· 
Review project documentation related to PI system testing for conformity to user/functional requirements, as needed.

· 
Develop/execute test scripts for DHS as required.

· 
Liaise with multiple stakeholders (both project and site) to understand how system best practices can be met while respecting quality/compliance standards.

· 
Support development and delivery of End User training.

Key Requirements:

· 
Minimum University/College degree or must have relevant work experience in the documents/E-Systems and quality/compliance.

· 
Experience with OSISoft Pi Historian preferred.

· 
Applied knowledge of other applications including: ERP, MES (Emerson/Siemens), SCADA, DeltaV, Werum PAS|X would be an asset.

· 
Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, operations, quality and compliance.

· 
Demonstrated ability to work independently within a matrix project team.

· 
Sound knowledge of unit operations typically used in vaccine manufacturing (For the represented area) such as (but not limited to) Equipment Prep, Media dispensing Media Formulation, Fermentation, Purification and Adsorptions.

· 
Demonstrated understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety, high quality standards, industry standards and their application to the manufacturing process.

· 
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external team members.

· 
Strong analytical skills and hands‐on troubleshooting skills.
