Job description
iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.
PLEASE NOTE that applications that are only submitted in French cannot be considered by our non-French speaking partners at Sanofi worldwide.

We are looking for: General Ledger Accountant - VIE Contract (W/M)
Target start date: 01/05/2024
Responsibilities:
· Monitor and verify the registration of financial transactions (GL and sub-GL administration):
· Execute balance sheet activities
· Post transactions
· Be responsible for correct allocations to departments and to products
· Recommend actions based on the analysis of account data
· Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information
· Be responsible for assigned month end activities
· Support overall financial reporting and reconciliation activities (monthly, quarterly and annually)
· Be responsible for financial filing activities alongside the team
· Oversees the Accounting flows linked to product flows
· You are regular in contact with Captive on accounting matters
· Maintain and apply accounting controls to assess and ensure that financial transactions, accounting records and financial statements are accurate, complete and adhere to relevant internal and external processes and controls
· Understand the Material Masterdata of Genzyme Europe and Sanofi Belgium
· Undertake self-testing activities based on relevant internal and external controls and regulations
· Check payroll overview according to relevant financial processes and controls (including the salary, LTI and balance review and wage declaration)
· Actively participate in ad hoc projects, changes and improvements
· Support colleagues with more complex issues
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or studying in Accounting, Finance or a similar subject
· Fluency in English (verbal and written), basic French preferred
· Relevant work experience in a multinational company within a highly competitive and quality focused environment
· Good accounting knowledge
· Ability to work, handle multiple projects and prioritize in a deadline driven environment
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and take on complex new tasks in a proactive and pragmatic manner
· Hands-on mentality and result driven
· Good verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
· Knowledge of financial operations and structures principles
· Good knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting
· Knowledge of IFRS and SOX/ Internal Controls
· Knowledge of payroll
· Knowledge of SAP and Magnitude or a similar system is a prerequisite
· Analytical skills and attention to detail, whilst able to maintain a broad overview
