The Position:
The Cost Accountant will be based out of our Manufacturing site at Virginia, Brisbane and will be the go-to person for support across this area of the business.
The Cost Accountant provides an accurate picture of his/her perimeter ‘s financial situation for the current and future periods and advises operational management on relevant remediation actions and ways for improvement.
Role Responsibilities:
Utilising your Finance knowledge in the Manufacturing industry to:

Hold accountability for the performance action plan valorisation and site reporting
·
Prepare accurate periodic reporting
·
Analyse and explain Production and Manufacturing variances
·
Make proactive recommendations on areas of business improvement
·
Ensure appropriate follow up of activity-specific areas
·
Standard cost calculation and new COGS simulations
·
Capex controlling and purchase order validation
·
Management of local assets, fixed assets inventory and reconciliation
·
Ensures effective cooperation with internal counterparts in other departments of the Entity and within other Finance functions, thanks to an appropriate understanding of the business Job Family Group: Finance - Business Partner

Constantly learn and keep up to date with latest standards and Sanofi's goals to understand where we can develop and innovate
·
Step up and take the lead on new exciting projects both locally and some global (Vietnam, China, Japan, France etc).
About you:
Education:
Minimum Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting.
Required skills or experience:
·
Minimum of 3-5 years of combined Professional experience within Finance, and ideally Manufacturing Accounting is required
·
Industrial controlling and curiosity in this space would be preferred
·
High level of analytical capabilities and problem solving
·
Proven experience of working collaboratively across multiple stakeholders in large business where you have partnered/ advised/ consulted
·
Technical skills and knowledge in SAP, Applicable statue Financial Analysis, Accountancy & Costing methods
·
Fluent in English is a must with high level communication skills- both verbal and written
