Data Scientist - VIE Contract (W/M)

Job description

iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

PLEASE NOTE that applications that are only submitted in French cannot be considered by our non-French speaking partners at Sanofi worldwide.

Therefore, only applications that are submitted in English will be considered.

We are looking for a candidate for a VIE mission of:

Data Scientist - VIE Contract (W/M)

Responsibilities:

·  Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
·  Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
·  Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
·  Combine models through ensemble modeling
·  Present information using data visualization techniques
·  Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
·  Apply a broad array of analytics skills including machine learning, statistics, and modeling to extract insights to structured and unstructured healthcare data sources, pre-clinical, clinical trial and complementary real-world & digital information streams
·  Work on a variety of team-based projects providing expertise in analytical and computational approaches
·  Leverage analytics involving large datasets to refine and improve data models

Requirements:

Education:

·  Master degree with major in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related quantitative science

Experience:

·  A minimum of 1 year of full time working experience in a similar position

IT skills:

·  Programming experience in one or more of the following: Python, R, SQL (Structured Query Language), HTML, JavaScript

Language :

·  Fluent English

Other desirable skills:

·  Working knowledge of Linux and shell scripting
·  Strong interested in learning biology and immunological diseases, liaising with scientists from Immunology and Inflammation to help define and address biological questions with computational approaches
·  Knowledge and experience with cloud-based computing such as AWS (Amazon Web Services)
·  Experience working with databases and knowledge of SQL, and non-relational databases
·  Experience with big data processing and neural network algorithms such as TensorFlow
·  Excellent written and oral communication skills
·  Excellent interpersonal and team skills
·  Experience and knowledge with machine learning preferred
