Within the Corporate Finance Division, for our Consolidation Department, we are looking for a Consolidation Analyst (F/M), to be integrated to our pool of Consolidation Analysts and Managers.
Responsibilities:
The Consolidation Analyst is the primary contact for the affiliates within in his/her scope (approx. 35-40 legal entities), which implies to:
· Monitor the reporting/consolidation process in this geography, anticipate and communicate changes in reporting requirements and conduct training sessions
· Review and analyze the financial data reported by the entities in the zone
· Implement the appropriate reporting of changes in scope such as business combinations / assets deals /alliances, mergers / liquidations, divestments
· Contribute to the integration project of new entities in case of acquisitions (such as Genzyme, Merial, Zentiva in the last few years …)
The Consolidation Analyst is also in charge of the preparation of the deliverables for the specific topics in his/her area of responsibility. For this set of topics, he/she will:
· Address technical accounting questions raised by local affiliates or other global departments
· Record and follow-up entries managed at consolidation level such as elimination and translation rules, or share based payments, employee benefits, at equity method or fair-value related entries
· Perform internal controls integrated to the consolidation process like those required by the Sarbanes Oxley US regulation
This role provides a challenging day-to-day interactivity with local affiliates and Shared Service Centers, a frequent exposure to corporate functions (Plan and Control, Tax, Treasury, Legal and Internal Control) and a unique financial perspective over all Sanofi entities (all under direct consolidation).
In the Consolidation Analysts pool and with affiliates, the primary working language is English and the environment is dynamic and multi-cultural.
Educational background:
· Business School or University Degree in Accounting or Finance
· Experiences and specific knowledge- 2/3 years relevant experience in Accounting or Finance
