About the job

Our Team:

Trial Operations is a key function in Clinical Sciences and Operations (CS&O) with the objectives to deliver clinical studies in the Sanofi drug development pipeline and ensuring the conduct of trials are delivered with optimum operational excellence, quality, and timelines. Overall, the key function for Trial Operations is to plan, setup, initiate, support conduct, and facilitate closure and reporting for all development trials from Phase IIb to IV.

The Vendor Manager is a key operational role supporting associate Global Study Manager (aGSM) and Global Study Manager GSMs serving as a key point of contact to support initiation/start-up activities with our key vendors. The role will be a critical member of the clinical trial team working closely with our strategic vendors from start-up, throughout the entire lifecycle of the clinical trial to close-out. The Vendor Manager will be the first line of contact for all study matters including vendor escalation and troubleshooting to resolve technical and operational challenges while closely monitoring timelines with the aGSMs/GSMs.

Main responsibilities:                                                      

·  Serve as Technical expert to Trial Operations for vendor selection, budget and timeline estimates supporting (Central labs, Cloud-based interactive response technology (IRT) and electronic clinical outcome assessment (eCOA), Imaging, ECG, Spirometry, Home Nursing, etc.).
·  First line of contact for all vendor escalation matters; working closely with aGSMs, GSMs, and VET.
·  Translate the protocol requirements into vendor technical specifications; liaise / initiate with procurement the vendor proposal, budget and contract and provide recommendations to finalize vendor selection.
·  Serve as primary point of contact for vendor issues escalation. Track corrective actions in relation to issues and audit findings.
·  Initiate / Draft contracts with support from legal and procurement and support execution on-time.
·  Provide support on all invoice and payment matters, working directly with vendors and our in-house team to resolve outstanding escalations.
·  Collaboration with support functions (Trial Operations, Clinical Study Unity (CSU), Legal, Procurement, and Finance).

About you

·  Experience :

·  Experienced in the pharmaceutical/ clinical research organisation (CRO) industry.
·  Vendor experience, oversee vendor scope and experience in managing a study - local study manager, global study manager.
·  High level of clinical trials operations experience including overseeing vendors, or experience in following roles: clinical study managers, trial managers, clinical project managers, clinical trial coordinator, senior CTA, significant study assistant, study associate, CRA, trail management assistants, study or site monitoring experience.
·  Associate or Global Study Managers, Trial Operations Team Leaders, Group Leaders, Study Data Managers outsourcing, finance knowledge or experience.
·  Knowledge of GCP - ICH guidelines.

·  Soft Skills:

·  Negotiation and ability to influencing stakeholders.
·  Good listening skills and understanding technical components.
·  Offer solutions.
·  Leadership skills as well demonstrating perseverance and resilience.

·  Technical skills :  

·  MS Office- Excel, Word, PowerPoint & SharePoint.
·  Use procurement e byes - electronic purchasing or similar is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided.

·  Education :

·  BSc. in Life Sciences (or equivalent).

·  Languages :

·  Strong English skills (verbal and written), ability to exchange fluently in a global environment.
