Job description



Purpose of Role

To lead & manage Supply Chain activities for the Business of Malaysia and Singapore to ensure products availability, to lead the S&OP process, to control and optimize local inventory levels. Act as a Business Partner to meet business requirements, ensuring effective forecasting which guarantee reactivity to the demands of the market, and ensure stocks are well managed in information system & at distributor's warehouse. To be in charge of the part of the Demand Forecast for Consumer Healthcare portfolio

General Management

·  Represent a specific portfolio as the key Supply Chain interface person, both internally and externally to the company, acting as the primary contact for the franchise and country in the regional and global Supply Chain organization
·  Continuously review and recommend changes in the Supply Chain procedures; contribute to the company's cost optimization through project generation and implementation, working practices and systems improvement
·  Set up appropriate management control tools to monitor performance Customer Services, Inventory management and identify areas of continual improvement, and propose corrective actions where necessary
·  Plan and control local expenditure, ensuring cost-efficiency at all times within the Supply Chain function, with particular focus on controllable expenses
·  Ensure a permanent & full compliance to all guidelines (especially Demand to Cash processes)

Inventory Management

·  Manage, control and optimize local inventory levels
·  Review Inventory holding & take actions for stock optimization
·  Managing/Monitoring the inventory to the achieve local/regional KPIs
·  Reduce level of destruction

Demand Planning and Supply (stock items)

·  Manage S&OP cycle, end to end demand forecasting across multiple categories to improve customer service levels, Obsolescence committee..
·  Portfolio management for Consumer Healthcare products (Pharmacy, Modern Trade, Hospital channels)
·  Accountable for keeping affiliate KPI's related to Supply Chain management on target Etc..CS,MAPE ,OTIF, Inventory level, FA.
·  To manage a demand plan for importation/3rd parties that will ensure on-time availability of quality product and samples
·  Liaise with Sales & Marketing and Finance to ensure an effective rolling-forecast process is in place; establish and implement directives and SOPs for inventory control to conform to both long and short range finished good requirements
·  Lead the trans-functional S&OP process, bringing anticipation/long term visibility & one single set of data
·  Work closely with the Regional hub & propose realistic forecasts
·  Liaise with third party manufacturers and distributors with regard to production requirements and deliveries of finished goods
·  Ensure effective inventory management processes are in place to predict and anticipate delivery, short-supply and bottle-neck issues; implement and maintain a Key Product physical flow map / tracking system
·  Support key launches and ensure 100% In Time Launches

Sourcing(stock items)

·  Ensure local coordination on all Sanofi Group (internal) and third-party (external) sourcing issues
·  Manage the implementation of all sourcing decisions (new product; manufacturing source changes) and liaise with the appropriate management (Regulatory Affairs, Ind Ops) as necessary
·  Prepare appropriate Sourcing proposals / action-plans for submission to SC and Zone management
·  Track and coordinate all sourcing / pack / labelling changes to ensure that appropriate safety stocks are maintained during the transition phase
·  Source packaging material to perform redressing activities

Marketing/Regulatory

·  Be an active and proactive key member of the core and extended brand team.
·  Collaboration with marketing for demand planning, new launches, promotions
·  Collaboration with Regulatory on artworks, new packs, etc

Distributor / Plants / 3rd party suppliers/ Forwarders

·  To manage the Distributor KPIs
·  To manage Stock Reconciliation from EDI Stock Movement
·  Provide logistical expertise within the local organization, ensuring complete adherence to local legislation and guidelines and implementation of Sanofi policies and procedures; be proactive in local legislation formulation and simplification
·  Liaise with plants, regional export center & 3rd party distributors on ordering & delivery of stocks
·  Liaise with forwarders and Custom Broker to ensure delivery & collection of orders.

Essential Skills and Experience

·  Minimum 3 years operational experience and success in Supply Chain operations (purchasing, materials management, logistics, customer services, S&OP)
·  Experience in a multi-national environment in Supply Chain
·  Proven ability to support the business and handle organizational and people-management issues essential
·  Proven ability to work transversally and to be a strong Business Partner
·  Computer literate (Word/Excel/Analytical tools); knowledge / exposure to SAP an advantage
·  Demonstrates success as a seasoned professional in Supply Chain function, and has the necessary knowledge of relevant trade regulations, practices and value of commercial consequences.
·  Demonstrates capacity to understand key business issues which impact on Supply Chain operations and the role and impact of Supply Chain on commercial operations
