Business Intelligence Analyst

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Our new colleague will be responsible for research, analysis and tracking of new projects for third party business in the pharma industry to support prospection and decision making. Contribute to the department activity by screening the market to identify projects with a good economic potential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Screen the market of pharmaceutical ingredients to identify interesting projects with good technical fit to Sanofi installations, with minimum business volume and promising growth perspectives
• Identify potential external clients
• Contribute to preparing, fine-tuning and presenting commercial offers to external customers
• Find alignment between customer needs and available technical potential
• Negotiate development contracts defining the scope of development services and subsequently commercial contracts covering commercial API supplies
• Ensure good relationship to the customer, supervise and manage ongoing custom synthesis projects particularly regarding timelines, deliverables and finance
• Track progress of the project (project management)
• Defend Sanofi position by being customer oriented at the same time

IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• MSC Chemistry / Chemical Engineer
• Familiar with medicinal chemistry and the synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API)
• Gather and synthesize information from multiple sources, eg. scientific and patent literature databases
• Ability to interpret and combine information flows
• Record and maintain information in customer relationship management database
• Fundamental understanding of API production technologies including chemical and environmental risk assessment
• Fluent in English
• IT knowledge, user level
• Result oriented
• Anticipation and innovation
• Good cooperation and communication skills
• Analytical mindset
• Transverse management between organisational barriers
